PhD title: Functional traits across primary producer groups and their effects on alpine arthropod communities
Description of research project:
The aim of my project is two-fold. First, I study functional traits of vascular plants, lichens, and mosses across an altitudinal gradient in Southern Norway. Here, I am particularly interested in how community-level mean traits change across the gradient, and whether species turnover or intraspecific variation drives the changes in traits. Second, I study how lichen traits relate to micro-invertebrate (mites and springtails) communities and functional diversity.
