Obeid Mahenya will defend his PhD Friday 3rd March in wildlife management and conservation, at the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Applied Ecology and Agricultural Sciences, Campus Evenstad.

The thesis is titled: “Browsing by giraffe in heterogeneous savanna”.

The opponents are: Professor Eivin Røskaft from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway), Professor Juan Gowda from the National University of Comahue (Argentina) and Dr. Kristin Gangås from the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (Norway).

Obeid will present a trial lecture titled “Challenges in managing mammalian herbivores in Africa” Friday morning, before defending his PhD.
